About Me

I have a lifetime of entrepreneurial experience, punctuated with multiple businesses & industries, products & intellectual properties, as well as teaching at the highest levels for some of the top universities in the U.S. and world. My focus has been in high-tech start-ups, having assisted nearly 350 such firms in the areas of project management, business planning, product development, capital acquisition, leadership, and sales & marketing.

My primary focus has been in simulation and games. I founded Simulation Entertainment Group, Inc. in 1996, built around my patented technology, and serviced entertainment, commercial and military customers for nearly eleven years. Being in the arcade simulation market, I was introduced to games - developing them for our simulation systems, as well as establishing partnerships with “Triple-A” game companies.

My career as an educator began when I taught Amusement Technology to non-tech undergrads at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, for six years. More recently, I've taught project management to aspiring game producers in Full Sail University’s Game Design Masters of Science program for six-plus years, the former students of which are now helping manage $billions in game IP.

My current enterprise, Burnout Game Ventures, LLC, finds, filters and incubates companies from zero-to-success in six months or less. Specializing in video games, simulation and VR, BGV invests in and provides daily hands-on mentoring, as well as access to all the talent, resources, proprietary processes and motivation they need, to develop quality experiences fast.

We intend to create at least 50 sustainable omni media companies (and 500+ high-paying tech jobs) in five years. We already have 350+ developers in our Core Talent Pool, nearly 100 of whom are actively working for six startups on nine projects. Nearly 40 product releases are scheduled for the next 24 months, and we are looking for funding to release these finished products.

Our first Client release, “BiT Evolution”, was ready to generate revenues in less than six months, has garnered 100k+ installs (so far), and received glowing reviews from the top YouTube and digital media game reviewers in the world.

I'm also helping lead several local efforts to make Central Florida the “engine” of the global ($101.6 billion) game industry within five years, and raise Central Florida’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to be one of the country’s best. If you'd like to help, please let me know!
